Africa-Press – Angola. The Deputy Attorney General of the Republic of Bengo, Carla Patrícia Correia, said, in Caxito, that the legal awareness days are awakening and raising the legal knowledge of the region’s citizens.

The public prosecutor who was speaking at the end of the legal awareness days promoted by the PGR in Bengo, underlined that citizens have become more enlightened in recent times if one takes into account the number of cases that are registered in the PGR.

“Currently, there is an extraordinary change as a result of the influx of citizens who seek PGR services in Bengo. People want to be more and more informed, which is why they turn to PGR services”, he underlined.

He referred that all children need their legal status to be regularized with the justice bodies.

For this reason, he said, the Attorney General’s Office in Bengo seeks to protect citizens by teaching their rights and duties in matters that lead them to seek these services.

During two days, participants in the legal awareness days analyzed topics related to crimes against transport safety, the intervention of the guarantees judge in the preparatory instruction phase, juvenile delinquency and adoption in the Angolan legal system.

The legal consequences of non-compliance between individuals and the public and inheritance tax: inheritance and its legal aspects and settlement of inheritance tax were also addressed.
