Africa-Press – Angola. Fifteen contestants will present poems and texts of their own in the contest called Spoken Word, on the 21st of this month.
According to a note sent to press yesterday, Monday, the 15 finalists will present their poems or texts and compete for the title of champion of Luanda do Slam 2022.
The project was conceived by a group of artists, led by the Angolan slamer Elisângela Rita.
The contest, which is now in its eighth edition, aims to raise national culture, allowing the winners to compete in a show of its kind outside the country.
Luanda Slam is an independent non-profit project that has existed since 2015. Its team is made up of 7 Angolan slamers.
