Africa-Press – Angola. Twenty-one citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were questioned this Wednesday by the Border Guard Police (PGF), in the province of Zaire, for attempting to enter the national territory illegally.
According to the spokesman for the Provincial Delegation of the Interior, SeĢrgio Afonso, the group of illegal immigrants was questioned at the Luvo border, 60 kilometers north of the city of Mbanza Kongo.
Of the number, there are 17 men and four women who, after operative registration, were referred to the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) for proper treatment.
He added that the referred foreign citizens intended to reach the country’s capital, Luanda.
The province of Zaire shares a 310 kilometer border with the DRC.
