Africa-Press – Angola. Fifty-two citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were questioned this Saturday by the Border Guard Police in Zaire province, for attempting to enter the country illegally.

Of this number, 26 are women questioned at various border posts in the region with the neighboring DRC.

The information was provided by the spokesman for the Provincial Delegation of the Interior, Sérgio Afonso, who said that they had already been forwarded to the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) for proper treatment.

The Border Guard Police in Zaire, seized several food products, for attempting to smuggle goods to the DRC.

Among the goods, seized at the Nóqui, Luangu, Minga, Kinsende, Luvo, Kinguvo and Ntoyo border posts, there are 40 bags of rice and 20 bags of whiskey.

Four municipalities in the province of Zaire share a border with the DRC, namely Mbanza Kongo, Soyo, Cuimba and Nóqui, for a total of 310 kilometres.
