Africa-Press – Angola. The deputy coordinator of the MPLA Monitoring Group in Malanje province, Manuel Figueiredo, defended on Saturday the active participation of militants in the materialization of the organization’s Political Agenda, with a view to improving the standard of living of Angolans.

The politician made this appeal at the end of the IV Ordinary Meeting of the Provincial Committee of the MPLA, which aimed to assess the internal life of the party and approve the plan of activities for the second quarter of this year.

The also director of the Central Committee’s Studies and Analysis Office also highlighted the need for the party’s continuous insertion in society, especially among the youth, with a view to transmitting the actions it has been carrying out.

He recognized that, despite the economic difficulties that the country is going through, there are a number of achievements that are being made in favor of the socio-economic development of the province, with emphasis on the energy and water sectors.

He added that, in the context of fulfilling the commitments assumed with the citizens, the MPLA will remain committed to improving access roads, expanding the electricity network and drinking water, among other actions that impact on the lives of families.

Meanwhile, participants at the meeting recommended more humanism and control of hospital assets, while expressing concern about the shortage of medicines in health units.

The IV Ordinary Meeting of the Provincial Committee of the MPLA was guided by the first provincial secretary, Marcos Nhunga.
