Africa-Press – Angola. A photographic exhibition, which portrays the past and present of the city of Ndalatando, including institutions, places, people and customs, is on display in the municipality of Cazengo, as part of the celebrations of the 69th anniversary of the former Vila de Salazar, to be celebrated on the 28th of this month. It was inaugurated on Wednesday and was attended by the governor of the province of Cuanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, who took the opportunity to interact with those present on issues related to the present and past of the city of Ndalatando.
The historical trajectory of the city is displayed on a photographic mural, in Largo 1o de Maio, whose aim is to portray aspects linked to its historical reconstruction, where it is possible to see the gallery of all the managers who have administered the city, as well as the evolution of its main infrastructures, such as the headquarters of the Provincial Government, the Luanda Railway and many others.
The photos presented were carefully selected to give a faithful portrait of where people come from, where they are and where they want to go, which means that you can see in each portrait the effort that each citizen has made to build and rebuild the city.
The exhibition mentions the entire social imaginary and things that still need to be achieved to ensure the harmonious development of the old Vila Salazar.
It should be noted that 69 years of history cannot be translated into these portraits, but the exhibited part portrays 69 years of struggles, losses, achievements and challenges, both from an economic and cultural point of view, as well as from a sporting and political point of view.
