Africa-Press – Angola. The President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, is already in Luanda, to witness the funeral of former President José Eduardo dos Santos, which takes place this Sunday, at Praça da República.
Speaking to the press, the President of Portugal highlighted the “mark” of José Eduardo dos Santos in the affirmation of Angola in the contemporary world.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa said that the former Angolan President positively marked the relationship between Angola and Portugal.
The funeral, scheduled for the morning of Sunday, 28 (the day he would have turned 80 years old), will be attended by 21 foreign individuals, including African and Portuguese Heads of State and Government.
