Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, congratulated, this Friday, the Cameroonian people, government and counterpart, on the celebration of another National Day of the Republic of Cameroon, which is celebrated on Saturday (20).
In a missive to the Cameroonian President, Paul Biya, the Angolan statesman considered the date remarkable for the Cameroonian nation and highlighted the historical relations of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries.
In the message, President João Lourenço refers that the ties that the two countries have maintained for several decades can produce results that help to reinforce the “pillars on which the important and solid conquests achieved” by the respective peoples are based.
“I express to you, on this occasion, our interest in continuing to strengthen the bonds of friendship and solidarity that unite our peoples, countries and governments”, expresses the Angolan Head of State.
João Lourenço underlines the creation of new opportunities for collaboration, capable of favoring the fulfillment of the aspirations and well-being of the citizens of both States.
On behalf of the Angolan Government and himself, President João Lourenço wishes good health, personal well-being and “many prosperity” for the Cameroonian people.
