Africa-Press – Angola. President João Lourenço held telephone contacts this Thursday, at different times, with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and with the President of the Italian Council of Ministers, Mario Draghi, about the situation in Ukraine and its consequences.
The telephone contacts arise within the framework of the obligation that the United Nations Organization (UN) member states have to contribute to world peace and security, informed the Presidency of the Republic on Fecebook today.
The talks took place in a very cordial atmosphere and aimed at achieving an immediate ceasefire and a return to the negotiating table in the search for a lasting peace not only for Ukraine but also for Europe.
