Africa-Press – Angola. The organizing committee of the 1st Constitutive Congress of PRA-JA Servir Angola came out this Tuesday, 22nd, to clarify publicly that the 21 vehicles distributed by the provincial secretaries are the result of the sale of a shopping center, called Sambangala, located in Camama, next to the General Hospital of Luanda.
The clarification from the organizing committee of the 1st Constitutive Congress of PRA-JA Servir Angola comes after rumors circulated that the party’s conclave was being sponsored by “hidden hands”.
“I have been a member of this party since its foundation. I also own a large shopping centre, called Sambangala, which everyone knows very well. I sold this centre and lent the proceeds to the party to buy vehicles to support the congress and other activities,” said the owner of the property, retired general Isaías Daniel, at a press conference.
“The buyer of the complex has not yet completed the payment and has only given three million dollars which the party will return in the future,” he added.
According to Isaías Daniel, the 50 million kwanzas that PRA-JA Servir Angola receives from the United Patriotic Front (FPU) quarterly do not solve the problems of the organization “which is emerging with great strength”.
“Given the volume of work we carry out at a national level, the money we receive from the FPU does not solve our problems”, said the general, stressing that, in the event of difficulties, his company will help the party.
“Since the founding of the party, Abel Civukuvuku and I have been the main sponsors of the organization,” he added.
The coordinator of the organizing committee of the 1st Constitutive Congress of PRA-JA Servir Angola, Carlos Xavier Lucas, said that for logistical and financial reasons, the number of delegates to the conclave was reduced from 1,500 to 750.
The congress will take place from 19 to 23 May in Luanda, at the Talatona Conference Centre.
The congress, according to the person in charge, will clarify the problems of the United Patriotic Front (FPU), prepare the strategic governance indicators 2027-2032 – being Government or being part of the Government.
The congress will adopt a global agenda for obtaining financial resources for the implementation of the 2025-2027 political agenda and the electoral campaign.
He said that two candidates will contest the 1st Constitutive Congress, namely Abel Chivukuvuku and Francisco Canga, who, on Monday, 21st, formalized his candidacy.
PRA-JA Servir Angola was legalized in October 2024, after a process that began in 2019, marked by several rejections by the Constitutional Court.
PRA-JA Servir Angola is part of the United Patriotic Front (FPU), a platform created in the 2022 general elections, together with UNITA and the Democratic Bloc.
