Africa-Press – Angola. The President of Estonia, Alar Karis, proceeded this Friday, in Luanda, to lay a wreath of flowers on the sarcophagus of António Agostinho Neto and signed the book of honor, in memory of the first President of the Republic of Angola and founder of the Nation.
The Estonian statesman has been in the country’s capital since Thursday, carrying out a 48-hour state visit to Angola, at the invitation of President João Lourenço, accompanied by the First Lady of Estonia, Sirje Karis.
For the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, after President Alar Karis’ tribute to the founder of the Nation, the act praises the figure of António Agostinho Neto on a symbolic day, referring to the 8th of March, International Women’s Day.
On the other hand, in a few words, the head of Angolan diplomacy said that Estonia, as a giant of “digital governance”, is interested in sharing its experience with Angola.
