President of the Republic Dismisses and Appoints New Ambassadors

Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic changed the leadership of several diplomatic missions abroad this Tuesday, the 7th. Sachipengo Nunda was dismissed from his post as ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, while Syanga Abílio left his post as ambassador to Kenya and permanent representative to the United Nations offices in Nairobi.

Under the terms of the Constitution of the Republic and for service convenience, the following were dismissed from their posts, namely:

1. Agostinho André de Carvalho Fernandes, from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

2. Ana Maria de Oliveira, from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – UNESCO.

3. Edgar Augusto Brandão Gaspar Martins, from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Republic of Korea.

4. Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

5. João Salvador dos Santos Neto, from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the People’s Republic of China.

6. José Gonçalves Martins Patrício, from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Republic of Türkiye.

7. Lizeth Nawanga Satumbo Pena, from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Republic of Gabon.

8. Margarida Rosa da Silva Izata, from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Offices of the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva.

9. Maria Cândida Teixeira, from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Republic of Cuba.

10. Mário de Azevedo Constantino, from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium.

11. Nelson Manuel Cosme, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola, Accredited to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

12. Syanga Kivuila Samuel Abílio, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola, Accredited to the Republic of Kenya and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Offices in Nairobi.

On the other hand, the President of the Republic appointed:

1. Ana Maria de Oliveira, for the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the United Nations Offices and Other International Organizations in Geneva;

2. Carlos Cruz de Lemos Sardinha, for the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Republic of Cuba;

3. Edgar Augusto Brandão Gaspar Martins, for the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union;

4. Fernando Miguel, for the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;

5. João Salvador dos Santos Neto, for the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola Accredited to the Republic of Türkiye;
