Africa-Press – Angola. The Head of State, João Lourenço, presided over the 4th Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers this Thursday morning, at the Palácio Presidencial da Cidade Alta. Among other issues, the Council of Ministers assessed, for submission to the National Assembly, a proposal to revise the Securities Code, in order to adapt it to the current macroeconomic context and the stage of the national market for securities and derivative instruments, the Presidency of the Republic announced on social media.
The body also assessed the Presidential Decree on the National Action Plan for the Progressive Elimination of Single-Use Plastics 2025-2027, considering the need to design strategies aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and reducing the negative impacts of plastic waste on fauna, flora and public health, encouraging the use of sustainable alternatives.In today’s Council of Ministers session, the figures for the Public Investment Programme (PIP) in 2024, which had 3,480 projects registered, also stand out. Among the main results achieved, the construction and rehabilitation of schools; the building and modernisation of hospitals, health centres and posts and the construction and rehabilitation of roads stand out.
