Africa-Press – Angola. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Electricity Production Company (PRODEL), Pedro Afonso, recently recognized, in Côte d’Ivoire, the work undertaken by the Angolan Government for the integration of the energy market in Africa.
According to the official, Angola, as vice-president of the Association of African Electricity Producing Companies (ASEA), represented by the Ministry of Energy and Water, has been developing permanent actions to bring together Energy Pools, in order to achieve energy integration.
In a press release, it is reflected that Pedro Afonso was speaking as part of a visit he made to the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, on the 8th to 9th of this month, where the PRODEL delegation held a guided visit to the ASEA facilities, by the general director, Didier Tella, from whom they received information about the functioning of the Association, while at the same time interacting with the workers.
The delegation also met with the ambassador of the Republic of Angola to that West African country, Domingos Bernardo Feliciano Pacheco.
At this meeting, the report points out that a positive assessment was made of the development of the electricity sector in the last 10 years in Angola, in the areas of production, transport and distribution of electrical energy.
