PRS calls for political tolerance

Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Social Renewal Party (PRS), Benedito Daniel, appealed, this Tuesday, in Luanda, for peace, harmony and tolerance before, during and after the General Elections of 24 August.

According to the politician, it is necessary that each actor participates in the construction of democracy and healthy social coexistence and, in this way, solidify freedom of opinion.

Benedito Daniel provided this information during a press conference, which aimed to analyze the implementation of the pre-campaign, campaign and voting process. He advised, at the time, young people and leaders of other party formations to focus on transmitting their ideals.

The president of the PRS denounced the existence of young people, wearing party clothes, who have removed the party’s electoral propaganda material from the main avenues and public squares, an act he considers reprehensible.

“This behavior discredits the democratic process”, concluded Benedito Daniel, while calling for free elections, without interference or instrumentalization of citizens.

Angola has already held four elections, namely in 1992, 2008, 2012 and 2017, which were considered free and fair.
