Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary of the President of the Republic for State Reform, Pedro Raimundo, this Tuesday, in Sumbe (Cuanza Sul), appealed to civil servants to observe strict compliance with the rules of the “Simplifica” project, in order to ensure the success of the program.
Speaking at a seminar on the implementation of the second phase of the “Simplifica” project, the official recalled that the program was institutionalized by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, with the aim of improving the provision of public services to citizens across the country.
“With the implementation of Simplifica, the Executive intends to satisfy the collective interest and the protection of individuals, because, as the population grows, the public administration is pressured by the demand for goods and services and this results from the need to prepare with a view to providing quick responses to requests without any constraints”, he stressed.
On the occasion, the official considered the implementation of “Simplifica” in the country’s 18 provinces to be positive, to the benefit of the population.
However, he stressed that there are still challenges to be observed, justifying that they are simplifying procedures that date back more than 40 years.
On her turn, the deputy governor for the political, economic and social sector, Emília Tchinawalile, welcomed the fact that Cuanza Sul was the first province to witness the application of the second phase of the project.
“I hope that the work meeting has been an opportunity to share knowledge that can contribute to the successful implementation of the program”, he added.
The meeting was attended by municipal administrators, academics, heads of section, civil servants, among other guests.
“Simplifica”, implemented by the Angolan Executive since 2019, aims to facilitate administrative processes in the various ministries for the acquisition of documents with an impact on the life of the citizen, such as the Identity Card, Driving License, Passport, construction permits, among others , previously complicated to treat.
