Africa-Press – Angola. The residential complex, which will cost the state coffers more than 973 million kwanzas, will be built in an area of 2,089.82 square meters. The works will be carried out within 18 months, by the Chinese company YAN.
The laying of the foundation stone for the beginning of the works was made, Saturday, by the municipal administrator of Rivungo, Abílio Jornal Sasongo, who said that the start-up of the administrative residential complex will help to attract staff to the region.
According to Abílio Jornal Sasongo, due to the lack of adequate housing, many cadres do not accept to work in the municipality of Rivungo and those who try, after some time, leave the workplace. He stressed that, for this reason, the construction of the administrative residential complex will be an asset in solving the problem that drives away good people, who could contribute to the socio-economic development of the municipality that borders the Zambian region of Shangombo.
The municipal administrator appealed to the Chinese company YAN to comply with the established deadline and other contractual clauses. Abílio Jornal Sasongo stressed that the construction of the residential complex will generate dozens of jobs.
As part of the PIIM, the first stone was also laid, on the 28th, for the rehabilitation and expansion of a health post, as well as the construction of a residence, with ten bedrooms, five kitchens and an equal number of bath, for technicians in Chipundo commune.
Budgeted at 326 million kwanzas, the health unit will have six beds for hospitalization.
