Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Family and Promotion of Women, Alcina Kindanda, recommended this Tuesday, in Luanda, the concertation of ideas and combination of efforts in the fight to promote the rights, defense and safety of children.
According to the person responsible, there is a need to work to reduce cases of violations of children’s fundamental rights in the country.
Speaking at the national methodological review/2023 meeting, the secretary defended the safeguarding of children’s well-being and the protection of their fundamental rights.
According to the person responsible, the State, the family, churches and non-governmental organizations are called to work on building a social environment conducive to the harmonious growth and development of children.
“There is an increasing need for actions to respond to situations involving children, especially from the perspective of prevention and protection, without giving up those that have to do with economic, social, cultural and environmental development”, he reinforced.
During the meeting, the “Child Friendly Municipality” project will be launched, a tool that will stimulate and encourage the adoption of good practices in planning and implementing actions in favor of children, within the country’s 11 commitments and strategic options.
