Africa-Press – Angola. The acting provincial governor, Franco Mufinda, urged health unit managers to manage financial resources with transfer, especially at the Malanje General Hospital, as an institution with the largest budget in the province.
Franco Mufinda made such statements when swearing in office holders in the aforementioned health units, deputy municipal and communal administrators, among other staff.
“We call for the responsibility and commitment of the managers of the health units”, he stressed, adding that on this path the deputy municipal administrators and other appointed staff must align, working with the holders in the planning and execution of actions aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens.
He requested greater accuracy, dynamism and transparency in the functioning of the health sector, due to the need to assist patients well.
According to the person responsible, this stance must also be aligned with the fight against nepotism, doing justice to the government’s intentions to humanize the services of the General and Provincial Maternal and Child Hospitals and Malanje Sanatorium, as they are reference units and due to the need to restore empathy of patients.
Meanwhile, the nursing directors of the General Hospital and administrative directors of the Provincial Sanatorium Hospital, Nelson Fuxe and Albano Hoque, respectively, in an interview committed to working hard to meet the government’s challenges, to see improved care for patients and administrative management of the health sector.
Among those sworn in, in addition to hospital administrators and directors, there are cabinet director and advisors to the vice-governor for the Political, Economic and Social Sector and heads of Departments of the Provincial Office of the Environment, Waste Management and Community Services.
