Africa-Press – Angola. General Sá Miranda presented, at the club’s headquarters, a list of candidates to run in the elections on the 1st of August, to be held on the 30th of March, in Luanda, for the 2024-2028 Olympic cycle.
The electoral calendar, approved at the Ordinary General Assembly, stipulates the seventh (Thursday) as the deadline for the officialization of candidacies with the community.
So far, nothing is known about the presentation of the candidacies of two other candidates, namely the outgoing president, Carlos Hendrick, and the aspiring Egas Viegas.
The Electoral Commission is chaired by Pedro Neto, with Paulo Madeira as secretary and Ngouabi Salvador as scrutineer.
In the coming days, General Carlos Hendrick, candidate for his own succession, submits his candidacy, while he also awaits the movement of jurist Egas Viegas in this direction.
