Africa-Press – Angola. This morning, the funeral procession of the ex-President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, took place, which left the family residence in Miramar, towards Praça da República, for the State funeral.
The funeral urn with the body of José Eduardo dos Santos toured various parts of the capital. During the procession, the scene was one of sadness, commotion, tears and also applause.
Several citizens closely witnessed the funeral procession that followed to Praça da República, where public tributes with the body present are already taking place.
José Eduardo dos Santos died at the age of 79, on the 8th of July, in Barcelona, in the Kingdom of Spain, due to illness. The Former Angolan Statesman ruled Angola from 1979 to 2017.
