Africa-Press – Angola. A furniture factory, such as tables, chairs, armchairs and wardrobes, came into operation this Tuesday, in the municipality of Saurimo, capital city of the province of Lunda-Sul, in an investment by Chinese entrepreneurs that allowed the creation of 36 work stations.
This is the first manufacturing unit of its kind in that location, installed in an area of more than 700 square meters, which will also produce sanitary ware and kitchen materials.
Regarding the inauguration of this infrastructure, the municipal administrator of Saurimo, Adérito Cahanga, considered the business initiative as an added value for residents to purchase furniture at reasonable prices and with national quality.
The person in charge was also pleased with the opening of the factory and appealed to other businesspeople to invest in this district, with a view to reducing the unemployment rate among young people.
In turn, the factory’s CEO, Wang Xilung, assured that his company has other industrial projects for Lunda-Sul, a fact that requires greater flexibility and openness on the part of local authorities.
