Africa-Press – Angola. Two citizens of Mauritanian nationality, accused of price speculation, were arrested this Monday, in the municipality of Maquela do Zombo, province of Uíge, by the local Criminal Investigation Service (SIC).
The SIC spokesman in Uíge, Zacarias Fernando, informed that citizens were caught selling bags of sugar above the price established in the price calculation structure.
He explained that the accused sold a 50-kilogram bag of sugar at 34,000 kwanzas, against the stipulated Akz 30,000.
As part of the fight against the crime of price speculation, the action also resulted in the seizure of 83 bags of sugar.
