Africa-Press – Angola. One hundred citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were, on Saturday, repatriated by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) in the province of Zaire, for illegal entry and stay in the country.

The spokesperson for the Provincial Delegation of the Interior, Sérgio Afonso, said that the aforementioned illegal immigrants were repatriated through the river border post of Kimbumba, municipality of Soyo.

He explained that they were collected in some peripheral neighborhoods of the city of Soyo, as part of control and inspection actions against foreigners in an irregular migration situation.

He mentioned that from the group, 81 foreigners were expelled by administrative decision and 19 through legal action.

Before repatriation, the aforementioned immigrants were detained in the Kavuge (Soyo) illegal foreigners detention center for legal procedures.
