On Thursday, in Cape Town, South Africa, the Minister of Tourism, Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, encouraged South African and other businesspeople to invest in Angola.The appeal was made during the opening of the Angola-South Africa Bilateral Tourism Forum, aimed at promoting potential and attracting foreign investment to the Angolan market.
According to a press release, Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel highlighted the Executive’s policies to boost domestic tourism, as well as the country’s opening to foreign investment through attractive policies and the need to take advantage of South Africa’s experience, measures that have boosted the country’s exposure to foreign investment.
On the other hand, the minister met separately with businesspeople in the sector to convince them to invest in Angola in order to contribute to the Executive’s strategy of diversifying the economy by promoting tourism. Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel received representatives from Taubie Motlhabane, Tracy Mkhize COO CTICC, Bon Hotels, Singer Hospitality Group & Travels, Yamaha Distributor, Camissa MSC & Norwegian Tourism, Cruise Liners & Events Company, Thokzani Tourism and Hospitality, with notable investments in tourism and hospitality that decided to embrace the challenge of the Angolan Government.
