Africa-Press – Angola. The promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and maintenance of health were defended by the specialist in hospital management, Maria Lina Antunes, as essential to improve the management of health units in the municipalities.

The director of the Hospital Central do Lubango, made these notes while speaking on the theme “Municipal infrastructure management”, at the Workshop of the Feira dos Municípios e Cidades de Angola (FMCA), within the scope of its 4th edition, which took place in this city from the 10th to the 13th of the current month, under the motto “Life is made in the municipalities” and with the participation of 164 municipalities.

Event that from the 12th to the 13th, also addressed, among other topics, the “Strategy for Attracting Investments in the Municipalities”, “Municipal Companies and Concessions of Municipal Public Services” and “Strategies for Urban Requalification”.

Maria Lina Antunes mentioned that management must precede a strategic plan that will involve the analysis of the internal and external environment of the organization, through a document that establishes the goals and objectives of an organization/company in a specific period, generally in the long term .

He highlighted that such a document serves as a guide for decision-making and resource allocation, in addition to providing a framework to monitor progress and make adjustments over time, it defines the direction that the organization intends to follow and the actions that will be adopted. to achieve these goals.

In this process, he stated that levels of primary, secondary and tertiary care should still be identified, with promotion and prevention being carried out in primary care, in the second one looking at the diagnosis and in the last one the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation of the reference diseases and against -reference.

He underlined that in the internal and external analysis, one should seek to know what pre-established goals one wants to reach and in how long, the activities to be carried out in that time interval, priorities, the needs of human resources, where to seek support/funds for do these activities.

According to Maria Lina Antunes, each municipality must design its organic framework in accordance with the elaboration of the Strategic Plan, discuss it with the middle managers and approve it at the hierarchically superior level, among other steps to follow.

As for the physical structures, he stressed that they must comply with the minimum international requirements for the construction of an operating room, such as flowchart, room dimensions, ceiling height, disinfection areas, operating room, air extraction system, gas ramp.
