Tax Administration to Suspend Companies Without Returns

Africa-Press – Angola. The General Tax Administration (AGT) will suspend, starting December 1 of this year, the Tax Identification Number (NIF) of companies that have not submitted any tax returns for more than 12 months, the institution overseen by the Ministry of Finance warned.

In a press release, the institution states that, according to the law, the companies covered by this measure have been notified by public notice at their respective Tax Offices.

To avoid the suspension of their NIF the agency explains, companies must regularize their tax situation by November 30, 2025, by submitting the missing tax returns and paying the due tax charges, using the Taxpayer Portal (https://portaldocontribuinte.minfin.gov.ao).

Besides the NIF suspension the consequences include the impossibility of engaging in commercial activity, inhibition of the practice of acts with public or private entities, impediment to the use of the NIF for any legal purposes, including the movement of bank accounts, import operations, participation in public tenders, receipt of payments, among others.
