Teacher launches book on school management

Africa-Press – Angola. The work “School Management and its spheres for professional improvement”, authored by researcher and university professor Fernando Pereira Leitão, was launched this Thursday, in Ndalatando (capital of Cuanza Norte).

With 246 pages, the research book has three chapters and addresses the practice of management, financial and pedagogical administration of schools, professional, organizational and community improvement, in addition to the skills of the school manager.

According to the author, the work, which is part of his doctoral thesis, aims to improve school and pre-school management, aiming at the success of the education system.

The book also contains some norms that regulate the teaching-educational activity in Angola.

The manual, according to the author, contextualizes teaching in Angola, suggesting that school management should represent human consciousness for quality teaching, based on the generosity of the profession, disinterest, patience and commitment to the cause of transforming the society.

Fernando Pereira Leitão advocates that education does not transform the world, but shapes the people who will have the mission of transforming it.

40 years old and born in the province of Cuanza Norte, Fernando Leitão is a teacher and researcher in educational sciences. He did his PhD in Pedagogy at the Enrique José Verona University in the Republic of Cuba.

Family members, the academic community and guests took part in the presentation of the work, which took place in the amphitheater of the Instituto Superior Politécnico de Ndalatando (ISPNd).
