Africa-Press – Angola. The National Union of Teachers (SINPROF) announced, Monday, the beginning, yesterday, of the second phase of the strike in general education, throughout the national territory, with the complete stoppage of classes.
The second phase of the strike, deliberated by more than 15 thousand teachers, informed the general secretary of SINPROF, Edmar Jinguma, happens due to lack of concrete proposals on the part of the Ministry of Education.
Regarding the suspension of the strike, he reiterated, the union is open to dialogue and, if there are guarantees on the part of the employer to resolve the teachers’ claims, the strike can be suspended at any time.
