Africa-Press – Angola. Technicians from the Ministry of Energy and Water from the provinces of Lunda-Sul, Lunda-Norte and Moxico participate, this Monday, in Saurimo, in a training session on the use of the regulation module of the information system for the water sector and sanitation (SISAS).
In the training, which lasts three days, participants will address topics related to the importance of the segment process and sectoral monitoring, data and performance indicators, for the supply service, wastewater sanitation and introduction to the SISAS system.
At the opening ceremony, the technician from the electricity services department of the Ministry of Energy and Water, Manuel António, praised the training action, which aims to train technicians to gain mastery of handling the data insertion platform, which companies use.
He explained that technical training will also contribute to improving revenue collection, as well as projecting investments for the sector.
On the other hand, the person responsible made it known that the water sector in the Eastern region is on a good path, as a result of the investment that the Executive has made, allowing a greater number of families to have home connections.
He highlighted that the distribution of water to populations has been increasing due to the construction of various supply systems in municipalities and communes, facilitating access to a product in the desired quantity and quality.
He added that investments in the water sector will continue to be developed, in order to allow the entire Angolan population to have the necessary liquid.
“The expansion of the water network for everyone by 2030 is on the Executive’s agenda”, he emphasized.
