Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, has been in Lomé since early Thursday morning for a 24-hour visit to Togo, as part of the strengthening of friendship and cooperation. According to the program, Téte António will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad, Robert Dussey, and then travel to the Presidential Palace, where he will be received by the Head of State of Togo, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.

According to MIREX, President Faure Gnassingbé was in Luanda on April 15, already in his capacity as mediator, designated by the African Union, for the conflict in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The note also reinforces that diplomatic relations between Angola and Togo have been historic and marked by a good bilateral relationship.

The two countries maintain friendly cooperation based on mutual respect and have engaged in various areas of cooperation, such as politics, diplomacy, economy and culture.
