Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial secretary of UNITA in Moxico, Afonso Dumba, defended, this Friday, in Luena, the implementation of preventive actions to mitigate the lack of water in the communities, during the approaching dry season (cacimbo).

Speaking to the press about the social and political situation in the province, the official suggested maintaining the water systems in the city of Luena, with the process of maintaining inspection of the fountains installed on the outskirts, with emphasis on the neighborhoods of Alto Luena, Vieira , Zorró, Alto Campo, Km 5 among others.

On the other hand, he defended the improvement of communication routes inside the neighborhoods, to facilitate the mobility of citizens, as well as basic sanitation.

Afonso Dumba asked for efficiency in Public Policies to reduce the prices of basic goods, having suggested the establishment of partnerships in the fields of agriculture and industry with entrepreneurs from other countries, for the transformation of local production, aiming to minimize imports and improve the diet of populations.

On the same occasion, he appealed to the population to be careful, complying with biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of new variants of covid-19.
