Africa-Press – Angola. The president of UNITA, Adalberto Costa Júnior, arrived this Friday afternoon, in the city of Uíge, to listen to the population about the party’s performance in the region.

The politician, who was speaking after the courtesy visit to the Provincial Government of Uíge, explained that the aim is to know what citizens expect from UNITA, its president and other persons responsible for political training.

For this reason, he added, “we are going to hold several meetings with different fringes of society”.

The three-day visit also aims to closely monitor the party.

For the materialization of this intention, Adalberto Costa Júnior said that there is a need to sit down with party members, civil society and the population in general.

The UNITA delegation is made up of the secretary general of JURA, Nelito Ekuikui, secretary of former combatants and veterans of the homeland, general Camalata Numa, president of LIMA, Helena Mbonguela, some deputies and other party members.

After arriving in the city of Uige, the UNITA president had his first contact with the militants, at the party headquarters, where he highlighted the importance of carrying out local authorities, improving access roads and greater collaboration with the Government.

During this period, UNITA will hold meetings with civil society in the municipalities of Uíge, Maquela do Zombo and Quimbele.
