UNITA trains more than 100 electoral agents

Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA started, yesterday, in the province of Huíla, a training action for 170 electoral agents, promoted by the coordination of the 6th Electoral Region of the party.

The two-day training, among other aspects, will address the party’s electoral campaign strategies, as well as organization, mobilization, security and vote control.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, the assistant secretary general of UNITA for Municipalities and Local Power, Lázaro Kakunha, stated that they are facing a “historical and patriotic challenge”, for which everyone is called to contribute to its success, in order to carry out “Angola for all”.

The politician declared that the functional harmonization of the patriotic forces of UNITA aims to join synergies to achieve power on August 24th.

Lázaro Kakunha said that they will thus be fulfilling UNITA’s vision of having an inclusive and participatory government, with citizenship, patriotism, meritocracy and “know-how” as “key” tools, and not party political militancy. .

The also coordinator of the 6th Electoral Region of the party, which corresponds to the provinces of Huíla, Namibe and Cunene, asked for commitment and dedication from the members, as, as he said, the current moment demands more action and few speeches from political leaders.

In turn, the provincial secretary of UNITA in Huíla, Augusto Samuel, said they are committed to the cause, focusing on the mobilization of patriots to achieve power, because the bet is to win the general elections.

He stressed that UNITA, in Huíla, will organize the campaign structures, mobilize massive votes for the party and its candidate, as well as ensure the vote.

“What gives us more is the direct contact. In the next few days, we will have the entire structure of the party throughout the territory of the province, to convince the people to carry out the UNITA campaign”, he concluded.
