Africa-Press – Angola. The markets in the main municipality of the Province of Uíge closed, this Monday, for cleaning, aimed at improving commercial activity and basic sanitation in the city, within the scope of the Commerce Reorganization Plan.

In a round carried out in the Municipal, Feira, Dunga, Shoprite and Zona Industrial markets, sales were halted to carry out cleaning and garbage collection.

The interruption of commercial activity on Mondays, in the markets of the city of Uíge, for cleaning, also aims to improve the commercial environment, as well as the prevention of diseases.

The Commerce Reorganization Plan, underway from this Monday, aims to organize commercial activity, mainly on the city’s main streets, whose image has been characterized by sales in inappropriate locations.

The Municipality of Uíge has a total of four thousand 686 stalls in the Municipal, Feira, Candombe Novo e Velho, Sonangol, Dunga, Triângulo do Mucaba and SFAL markets.
