Africa-Press – Angola. This Thursday, the vice-governor for technical services and infrastructure in the province of Lunda-Norte, Domingos Dala, considered associations as a driver of change and socioeconomic inclusion.
The official made this statement during the opening of the first meeting of Lunda-Norte staff, promoted by the Dialogar par Solucionar Association, which takes place in the city of Dundo, under the motto “The participation of civil society in the elaboration of a strategy for the development of the province”.
On the occasion, Domingos Dala stated that associations are a solution to strengthen and make certain social and economic interests competitive, combined with local development policies.
According to Domingos Dala, associations must promote actions that aim to contribute to the fight against corruption, nepotism, acts of vandalism of public property, phenomena that cause countless disruptions to social, economic, cultural and political stability.
On the other hand, he highlighted the need to continue establishing bridges of dialogue between civil society and the Government to achieve democratic awareness and a political configuration worthy of Stability.
According to the person responsible, promoting respect for difference and the opposition of ideas should be a recurring practice in democratic societies, aiming for sustainable development.
In turn, the executive secretary of the Dialogar para Solucionar Association, Elísio Alan Mateus, said that the meeting aims to analyze the province’s social problems and present proposals for solving them, through an emergency intervention program.
During the two-day event, participants will address the “socio-economic situation of the province”, “Structuring projects necessary for the development of the province”, “Socio-economic impact of diamond exploration” and “The University’s contribution to the development of Lunda-Norte”.
Participants will also talk about “Agriculture as a factor in the province’s socioeconomic development”, “Disorganized construction”, “Social responsibility of mining companies”, “Sport as a factor of inclusion”, among other issues.
