Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of Angola, Esperança da Costa, chaired the 11th Ordinary Session of the National Water Council (CNA) on Tuesday in Luanda.

The meeting addressed issues concerning the protection of the water sources of the Angolan highlands and the operation of Irrigated Perimeters and Irrigation Canals.

The National Water Council (CNA), created by Presidential Decree No. 76/17 of April 20, is a permanent advisory body to the Head of the Executive Branch, responsible for coordination and articulation between the different ministerial departments linked to the planning, management and use of water resources, in the context of national and state-shared river basins, including water resource users and local communities.
