Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa, holds, this Thursday, in Windhoek, capital of the Republic of Namibia, an official private meeting with his Namibian counterpart, Nangolo Mbumba.

The “téte-a téte” between the two dignitaries takes place around 9:00 am (local time) at the Old State House, the official residence and work office of the Namibian Vice President.

Still in the morning, Bornito de Sousa goes to “Heroes Acre” (Heroes’ Monument), about 10 kilometers south of Windhoek city centre, where he will lay a wreath in honor of the heroes of Namibian resistance war.

In accordance with the official program of this visit by the Vice-President of the Republic to Namibia, at the invitation of his Namibian counterpart, Bornito de Sousa has reserved for the afternoon a courtesy visit to the facilities of the Angolan Diplomatic Mission, which he has led since August 2019 Ambassador Jovelina Imperial e Costa.

The visit to the embassy will culminate with the laying of a wreath on the bust of António Agostinho Neto, founder of the Nation and National Hero.

Courtesy visits to the premises of the Angolan Embassy are a regular and recurring gesture on the agenda of the Vice-President of the Republic on his trips abroad, in which he seeks to find out about the operating conditions of the Angolan Diplomatic Missions abroad.
