Africa-Press – Angola. The vice-president of the Republic of Namibia, Nangolo Mbumba, arrived in the Angolan capital last Sunday night to participate in the Quadripartite Summit of CAO, CEEAC, CIRGL and SADC, this Tuesday, 27th.

The event will take place under the aegis of the African Union (AU) and the participation of the United Nations.

The Namibian official is accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa, and the Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Frans Kapofi.

For this summit, already in Luanda are the Executive Secretary of SADC, Elias Magosi, the Executive Secretary of CIRGL, João Manuel Caholo, the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the UN to the African Union Parfait Onanga Anyanga, and the Special Envoy of António Guterres for the Great Lakes, Huang Xia.

Among the entities also included the President of the ECCAS Commission, Gilberto da Piedade Veríssimo, the General Secretary of the CAO, Peter Mutuku Mathuki, and the Deputy Prime Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs of the DRC, Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo and Christophe Lutundula Apala Pen’Apala, respectively.
