Africa-Press – Angola. A batch of equipment intended to improve the working conditions of the Angolan Federation of Associated Wrestling (FALUTAS) was recently acquired by the institution, as part of the program to revitalize and expand the sport.
According to the chairman of the federation, António Vemba, the equipment, composed of tarps and mat coverings, were imported from Dubai.
He added that this action could mainly minimize the needs within the National Wrestling Academy, in addition to allowing provisional, national and regional competitions to be held with greater quality.
António Vemba also noted that the federation currently controls 14 associations nationwide, expanding the sport’s practice to the country ́s 21 provinces.
“In the medium term, the institution intends to provide each locality with a court, a challenge estimated at around 290 million kwanzas”, he added, requesting support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
