“I was very close to going to Manchester City. Guardiola said two weeks ago that they tried to sign me. But my history at Manchester United, my past at the club… They made the difference”, began by saying Ronaldo.
“The heart spoke louder, beyond the influence of Sir. Alex Ferguson. It would not be being true if I said that I was not close to City, but it was a conscious decision and one that I do not regret”, clarified the Portuguese international.
