Mmopane–Metsimotlhabe Member of Parliament and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Ms. Pushie Manyeneng, praised PWC for the donation. She stated that the gesture demonstrates strong support for government development efforts and reinforces the importance of Public Private Partnerships. Ms. Manyeneng emphasized that such collaborations help secure better educational opportunities and futures for learners.
School management welcomed the donation, noting that it came at a critical time. Rising student enrolment had forced the school to implement a double shift teaching system. With the addition of the new classrooms, the school will be able to return to a single shift, improving teaching quality and reducing strain on teachers and learners.
PWC’s Country Senior Partner highlighted the company’s focus on education over the past three years. The donation forms part of PWC’s commitment to investing in young people and supporting the development of schools. The company aims to provide resources that enhance learning environments and help students achieve academic success.
The new classrooms are expected to have an immediate impact on learning at Ikageng Junior Secondary School. The project reinforces the value of private sector partnerships in education and demonstrates how targeted interventions can improve access to quality learning for communities.
