“Cavalinhas” is the first book by the young writer Christy Reis to be presented this Thursday, 11th, in the city of Praia. The presentation is scheduled for 5.30 pm, in the Pátio do Paços do Concelho da Praia.
According to a press release, this children’s book brings the adventures of a mackerel through the bay of Porto Grande and among the beautiful beaches of the island of Monte Cara, with the environmental challenges it faces with other friends who live in the sea in the fresh waters of this archipelago.
The work under the seal of the publisher Amigos dos Livros is presented by the writer Carmelinda Gonçalves and Ary Reis.
“Cavalinha” by Christy Reis should also be presented on the 13th of May, next Saturday, at the Centro Cultural Brasileiro, in Praia.
About the author
Christy Reis lives in Mindelo and has a degree in Architecture, with training in Theater. As an actress, she participated in the nationally produced film by Osga Filmes in 2016.
She is also a trainer, having provided theater classes for children from Aldeia SOS in São Vicente.
“Cavalinhas” is her debut book, with children’s literature being her newest project to encourage reading and environmental awareness (through play).
