Africa-Press – Cape verde. The House of Flags today launched a program of visits for children from the municipality’s kindergartens, marking the involvement of the youngest in the festivities of the Municipality Day and the Flag Day of São Filipe.
During the morning, the space welcomed children from various inland locations, namely Monte Grande, Monte Largo, Jardim/Batente, Cabeça do Monte, Piquinho and Lagariça, kindergartens managed by the São Filipe municipality.
Also participating are the kindergartens of Patim, Luzia Nunes and Curral Ochô, managed by the Organization of Women of Cape Verde (OMCV), as well as those of Ponta Verde and Galinheiro, linked to the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima.
For the afternoon, a visit is planned for children from the city of São Filipe, including the kindergartens Passarinho Azul, Santa Clara, Flores de São Filipe, Primeiros Passos and Capelinha.
The activities welcoming the educational community continue on April 24th, encompassing the kindergartens of Achada Mentirosa, Santo António, Ribeira Filipe, Curral Grande, Monte Vaca, Campanas de Baixo, and São Jorge, in addition to the Denise and Cruz Vermelha kindergartens.
According to the organizers, the goal is to provide moments of conviviality and learning, promoting cultural appreciation among children from various communities in the municipality.
Besides the children, Casa das Bandeiras has also scheduled, as part of the festivities, meetings with senior citizens from the OMCV day center and the Madre Teresa de Calcutá home for social gatherings.
