As for the tourist attraction products and services offered, currently, on the island of Sal, “more and more” companies have appeared “providing” tourists with a variety of activities, attraction and tourist entertainment, focusing mainly on tourists from all over the world. including, so that they can leave the hotels and enjoy the island and its services.
According to the Cabo Verde Chamber of Tourism, cited by Inforpress, the difference between agencies and operators is that operators depend on agencies to sell the package, while agencies depend on operators to receive a package to sell to the public.
The packages are put together by tour operators, who make agreements with airlines and hotels, inns and resorts, reserving a “large number” of seats on flights and rooms throughout the year.
This makes the price many times lower than negotiating directly with the companies. In this way, operators assemble tourist packages and, in turn, travel agencies market these packages to the final consumer.

Ana Carvalho, secretary of the Cape Verde Chamber of Tourism, expressed satisfaction with the number of tourists who visited the country in 2022, that is, around 850 thousand tourists and said that for the 2023 high season, Cape Verde, more specifically Sal and Boa Vista is already a destination sold in Europe during the winter season.
“Cape Verde, Sal and Boa Vista, in particular, are consolidated destinations at this time of year, considered high season”, underlined Ana Carvalho.
As for the tourist attraction products and services offered, the same source indicated that, currently, on the island of Sal, “increasingly” companies have appeared to offer tourists a variety of activities, attractions and tourist entertainment.
“Therefore, when I speak of tourist animation, I am referring to all the services outside the hotel units available to tourists to live different experiences during their stay”, he noted, pointing out that the Chamber of Tourism is making an effort together with the institutions linked to the sector, namely the Ministry of Tourism, so that a survey can be carried out of all service providers in terms of tourist entertainment on the island of Sal.
“So that we have more information about this area, in order to also make it available to travel agencies and operators in order to organize packages and make sure that tourists, especially those in the all-inclusive system, can leave the hotel and consume these services ”, he outlined.
