Cape Verde'S Economic Climate Indicator Slowed down in Q4 2024

Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verde’s Economic Climate Indicator, which measures business sentiment, remained above average in Q4 2024 but slowed compared to the previous quarter, it was announced on Thursday.

“In the 4th quarter of 2024, the climate indicator was above the series average, having reached a higher value compared to the same period in 2023, revealing that the economic situation is favourable”, according to data released by the National Statistics Institute (INE).

The favorable assessment comes from the commerce, tourism, construction and transport sectors.

However, compared to the 3rd quarter of 2024, there was a drop in the pace of economic growth.

“Compared to the previous quarter, the climate indicator reversed the upward trend,” he pointed out.

The Economic Climate Indicator is based on a survey of businesspeople about the general situation of their companies, the behavior of some significant variables and also expectations.
