
Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Servir Cinema Foundation organizes from July 7th to August 3rd, 2025, the second edition of Summer Camps, with training activities dedicated to young students from five neighborhoods in the city of Praia.
The colony will be held at the museum headquarters in Lém-Ferreira, in the city of Praia.
According to a statement released by the president of the Servir Cinema Foundation, Júlio Silvão, the initiative is aimed at 40 students on school holidays, from the neighborhoods of Lém-Ferreira, Achada Grande, Paiol, Castelão and Coqueiro.
The Summer Camp program includes several training activities organized by themed weeks, from July 7th to 12th, with the production of films using cell phones, film presentations and open conversations planned.
From July 14th to 19th, the Filmora program will be held, accompanied by film screenings and debate sessions.
Between the 21st and 26th, there will be training for sports monitors focusing on football and basketball, complemented by film screenings and open conversation.
From July 28th to August 3rd, there will be training in crafts, with environmental and climate themes, integrating study visits and film presentations.
The foundation’s motto is “Education is the most powerful weapon that can be used to change the world”, aiming to reinforce the commitment to education and the development of skills through cultural and formative experiences.
