Government opens Integrated Service Desk to modernize MICE services

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Minister of State Modernization and Public Administration, Eurico Monteiro, will preside today, at 3:30 pm, over the inauguration of the Integrated Service Desk at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Energy (MICE). The initiative aims to centralize and streamline services of the National Directorate of Industry, Commerce and Energy (DNICE), the Cape Verde Tourism Institute (ITCV) and the Institute of Quality Management and Intellectual Property (IGQPI), promoting more efficient and accessible service, aligned with the Casa do Cidadão model.

According to the Government, the opening of this new counter is part of the project to modernize the Public Administration’s customer service, promoted by the Ministry of State Modernization and Public Administration.

This project, says the statement, is aligned with the governance program, specifically in the axis “Improving the quality of the provision of public services” of the Strategic Agenda for the Modernization of the State and Public Administration.

The new Integrated Service Desk will bring together the services of the National Directorate of Industry, Commerce and Energy (DNICE), the Cape Verde Tourism Institute (ITCV) and the Institute of Quality Management and Intellectual Property (IGQPI), allowing for more efficient and centralized service.

Coordinated by the National Directorate for State Modernization (DNME), the project began in 2024 with the aim of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of services, through the restructuring of reception areas, unification of service points and standardization of the service model to the Casa do Cidadão format.

With this modernization, several services are now available in an integrated manner, including the formation of companies, applications for and renewal of industrial licenses, registration of trademarks and patents, licensing of tourist enterprises, among others.

The event will be attended by government authorities and representatives of the institutions involved.
