Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Praia District Court ordered preventive detention for a 34-year-old man, detained by the Judicial Police (PJ) at Nelson Mandela International Airport with 46 cocaine capsules hidden in his system.
According to information provided today by the PJ, the individual, of foreign nationality, was arrested in the early hours of Sunday, March 16, when he was disembarking from a flight from Guinea-Bissau.
The arrest was carried out by the Central Section for Investigation into Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime (SCITECO) of the PJ, which seized the drug – with a net weight of 608.1 grams and a high degree of purity, in addition to 950 euros in cash, equivalent to around 104,500 escudos.
