Africa-Press – Cape verde. The second plenary session of this month will begin on Wednesday, the 26th, with a debate with the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, on public policies aimed at the inclusion, protection and safeguarding of the rights of Cape Verdean women.

According to a note from the National Assembly, this session will run until the 28th, with a special focus on Cape Verdean women, in allusion to March 27th, the date on which Cape Verdean Women’s Day is celebrated.

The debate with the head of the Government will have as its central theme the “Public Policy Aimed at Cape Verdean Women”, a proposal by the Parliamentary Group of the Movement for Democracy (MpD), with the aim of analyzing the actions of the executive in promoting better living conditions for women in Cape Verde. In addition to this topic, during the three days of proceedings, parliamentarians will also have on their agenda the consideration and vote on the 2022 General State Account.

The agenda also includes the discussion and final overall vote on the bill establishing the special early retirement scheme for employees of the Municipal Water and Sanitation Services of the islands of Santo Antão and São Nicolau.

In addition, the bill amending the Electoral Code for the fifth time, approved by Law No. 92/V/99 of 8 February, will be debated in detail.
